CNN: Same-sex marriage wins state battle
So what actually happened? NJ Supreme Court pulled a Vermont and said–rights and privileges, yes; word, no. I expect/would like Sam to say something on this at some point.
In the meantime, I emailed CNN and told them to take down their headline. If this is going to be about semantics, then let’s get the semantics right.
I am working this week for Olivia Brady, who I hope will help to keep DOMA out of PA; so strange how two states so close to each other can be so far apart (stupid Pennsyltucky) .
As usual, I am a tad conflicted. I’m not really down with the whole gay marriage thing so long as the federal level is still screwed up. I mean it’s nice that NJ doesn’t hate me (even more reasons to go to Atlantic City!), but it doesn’t really get me much.
